Ever since I was a carefree kid, I was an adventure seeker. Living in the mountainous Slovenia gave me plenty of opportunities to explore and find new ways to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
Slovenian mountains offer challenges, but they also boast breathtaking views from scenic locations. The majority of ski slopes in Slovenia lie in such places. When I was introduced to skiing by my parents, I loved it from the first time I sped down the slopes.
My love for the sport grew over the years as winter sports in Slovenia are among the most popular, thanks to our skiing heroes like Jure Košir, Tina Maze and Ilka Štuhec. Watching them on TV motivated me to improve my skills and take on new challenges as a skier, which soon resulted in me spending every possible moment racing down the snowy pistes during winter.
Within those years, I also visited many foreign ski resorts but always caught myself missing the glorious view of Mount Triglav from Vogel, the enchanting sunset at Krvavec, or the calm ambiance of the woods at Cerkno. Each ski resort offers something unique that makes for a very special skiing experience.
So I decided to share the beauty of skiing in Slovenia with the world.
