Surrounded by the forest of the Slovenian Pohorje region, you will find yourself unbothered by things like traffic and noisy crowds at Rogla. If you prefer quieter locations to the tumult of the fancier ski hubs, like the many families who visit annually, then these ski holidays are tailor-made for you.
The fresh mountain air and magical presence of the woods covered in snow will make you never want to leave this winter wonderland.
You will have a chance to try out ski runs of varying difficulty. They range from those appropriate for the less experienced to the ones suited to the skillful skiers, making it an excellent resort for families.
Apart from the many children-oriented activities, like the kids’ snow park and the Devil’s land playground, an optional ski instructor will also be at your disposal.
With your accommodation just across the road from the ski slopes, you will not lose any time transporting to and from the ski resort. As a result, you will save more energy for a whole day of skiing!
Besides taking care of the accommodation, we also provide you with a ski pass and full 24/7 support in case of any emergency. The skiing fun should be the only thing on your mind in this hassle-free holiday while we coordinate everything else.
There is also always an option of spicing up your holidays. We can arrange additional activities for you, such as day trips to other worthwhile locations in Slovenia, sledding, or even cross-country skiing.
We are confident that your ski holidays at Rogla will be a one-of-a-kind experience where you will create tons of fond new memories.
On a wooded plateau in northeastern Slovenia, away from the tumultuous cities, Rogla is one of the most secluded Slovenian ski resorts. With a range of attractive tracks and the best ski school in the country, it is the favorite destination of many families.
It is not a town but more of a tourist resort perched on the top of the Rogla Plateau, where many come to spend their holidays in the tranquility of the woods. One of its main attractions is the Tree Top Walk, a kilometer-long, walkable platform raised to the height of the surrounding treetops, where visitors can learn about the local forest. During the warmer months, the resort’s hotel, bungalows, and apartments are full of hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts. Conversely, they fill up with skiers and cross-country skiers when snow falls, having the ski runs only a step away.
We are always looking for the perfect fit for you. We use a few different accommodation providers that fit our standards, but they are subject to availability, especially in the high season. We can adjust it to your preferences and budget and always find a more suitable solution to your taste.
Our tour caters to a wide age range, from the youngest skiing enthusiasts who come with their families to people in their twenties and the most experienced old troupers. We design holidays at your own pace, and you will enjoy them no matter your age. Age is simply a state of mind, as they say, and we welcome anyone.
We don’t require any specific fitness level from you. You will choose your own pace, style of skiing, and the ski slopes you prefer.
Traveling light is the key. Make sure you have sufficient layers of breathable clothing to ensure that you are always warm enough and can remove a layer if you get too hot. You can also discuss the current weather conditions with your travel manager a week before you arrive. Regarding ski equipment, you can bring your own, or we can provide rental pieces according to your wishes.
Our price of Ski Holidays does not include:
– International airfare
– travel and sports insurance
– food and drinks if not noted otherwise
Yes, no problem! In Slovenia, you can find many ski slopes appropriate for beginners. If you don’t feel comfortable skiing on your own, we suggest taking our ski school program, where you will ski in a group with a ski instructor and make the best progress.
A tourist and promotion tax is a fee every visitor must pay for each overnight stay wherever in Slovenia. It consists of two parts: each municipality charges a tourist tax fee, which goes towards financing and maintenance of tourist facilities in the area, and the Slovenian Tourist Board charges a promotion tax, which they use to promote Slovenia. The tax rates vary depending on the municipality – from 1.5€ in some locations to 3.13€ in Ljubljana or Bled (charged per person and night).
We adjust the itinerary for every client separately. If you want to try different winter activities or do some sightseeing, let us know, and we will be happy to organize them for you! 😊
The best time for skiing is in January and February when the weather conditions are the most stable. Otherwise, the ski resorts in Slovenia usually open their slopes for business in the second half of December, but the proportion of open ski runs depends on the snow conditions.
